Mental Health:
According to the Labour Force Survey (LFS) in 2019/20 there were an estimated 828,000 workers affected by work-related stress, depression or anxiety in the UK. This represents 2,440 per 100,000 workers and results in an estimated 17.9 million working days lost.
Red Magazine recently reported that depression and anxiety are in the top four most common reasons for absence from work which equated to 12.7% of the total of sick days in the UK. Red Magazine believes that mental health problems plagues at least one in every six employees.
Physical Health:
According to Unison, 12 million working days are lost due to back pain.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) estimates that 2.6 million working days were lost in 2017/18 due to work-related Upper Limb Disorders – with an average of 14 days lost for each case. This includes conditions such as repetitive strain injury (RSI).

As a qualified, fully insured and experienced yoga teacher, I am able to offer both a wellbeing package of yoga options as well as a fully bespoke virtual sessions and workshops for remote teams as well as face-to-face classes ( compliant with current Covid regulations) recorded classes and meditations. This can include various types of yoga, breath work, meditation and mindfulness and relaxation techniques.
Programmes are bespoke and can evolve and adapt to meet the changing wellbeing needs of your team. Sessions are interactive and it is always possible to connect with me to answer any questions. Sessions are suitable for all levels and all ages and abilities and can take place on a mat or a chair at a time and place to suit your organisation’s requirements. This includes regular pre-/post-work sessions, lunchtime classes, focused workshops, team-building exercises and awayday and conference events.
